Massachusetts poised to overturn anti-sodomy law - update

(Background here)

Massachusetts now celebrates “the abominable and detestable crime against nature” with “Republican” support. The four GOP State Senators -- Peter Durant @DurantForSenate, @RyanFattman, @PatrickMOConnor, @SenBruceTarr -- apparently believe that anal intercourse is just another form of “adult sex.” They joined Dems in the unanimous vote to overturn the statute criminalizing sodomy.

The pro-anal bill, S2561, now awaits a hearing in the House Committee on Ways and Means.

Odd. Why there? That committee's charge is to “consider all legislation affecting the finances of the Commonwealth,” not changes in criminal law.

LGBTQ Nation is elated:

“The bill now goes to the Massachusetts House of Representatives. The lower chamber has 135 members who caucus with Democrats and 24 Republicans. If the bill passes there, it would go to Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey (D) for her signature. She is the first lesbian governor in the United States and has been supportive of LGBTQ+ equality.”

The Mass GOP has long been dead. The state's GOP website is a joke. Try to find the party's platform.

Massachusetts to overturn law against sodomy and bestiality

Massachusetts sodomy update: The LGBTQIA+ movement now openly admits that sodomy is a defining behavior for their "sexual orientations." They don't even speak out against bestiality which is also contained in the statute they are now overturning.

The bill to repeal "archaic laws" just passed unanimously in the state senate on Jan. 18, 2024. malegislature.gov/Bills/193/S2561 It includes this: "SECTION 10. Section 34 of chapter 272 of the General Laws is hereby repealed." That section reads: "Whoever commits the abominable and detestable crime against nature, either with mankind or with a beast, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not more than twenty years." Curiously, the anti-sodomy statute has remained on the books after "gay marriages" began in Mass. (in May 2004), despite sodomy being the consummating marital act for many of those couples. State Senator Brownsberger says that this repeal is about protecting "adult sex" for LGBTQIA+ citizens:
"The bill won praise from LGBTQ+ advocates around the Commonwealth. 'We are relieved and excited to see this legislation pass,' said Tanya V. Neslusan, Executive Director of MassEquality. 'The Commonwealth prides itself on being a progressive, inclusive state and in that spirit, having the outdated legislation outlawing sodomy and referring to adult sexual activities as "unnatural acts" stricken from our books makes Massachusetts a safer, more inclusive place for all of our residents and visitors, especially those who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community.' "Trans" students' restroom use declared a right by GLAD - going back to 2001

In early 2008 – almost 16 years ago – GLAD spoke. And so it would be: “Trans” students must be allowed to use the bathroom of their choice in Massachusetts. And the schools obeyed!

MassResistance tried to warn the country what was coming their way, but who was listening then?
This was 4 years before the Mass. Trans Rights law took effect (2012), 5 years before the state issued its "guidelines" for supporting "trans youth" in schools (2013), and 8 years before the law protecting trans rights in public accommodations (2016).

The first Mass. court precedent for trans student "rights" came down in 2001 (decided by a lesbian judge): Pat Doe v. Yunits (note 2 in GLAD document).

But only in the past few years has the country awakened to the insanity this would bring to their schools.

"Girl Inside" Professor/Poet at Harvard English Dept plans course on Taylor Swift

I smelled a rat in the story The Harvard Crimson & Breitbart about a tenured English professor who plans a course on Taylor Swift's profound poetry. Sure enough, Prof Stephanie Burt is active in LGBTQA+ causes and "transitioned" to female in 2017. Harvard Gazette quoted Burt then:

"I always knew I was a girl inside, but didn’t realize it was both possible and wise to do a social and medical transition. And it’s great... I get an obvious chance to serve as a visible role model. That service does political and social work."

Breitbart had this: "Taylor Swift is someone who establishes complicated and changing relationships to the idea of Americanness and to the idea of white  and of middle America.” Awkwardly stated, but profound!

It's so sad to read about the once great university's slide into vacuousness and depravity.

ALA’s annual propaganda exercise "Banned Books Week"

American Library Association’s annual propaganda exercise @BannedBooksWeek is here. Their list of 2022’s top supposedly “banned” books is revealing. All 13 are sexually explicit.

ALA tries to dismiss challenges: the books are only “claimed to be sexually explicit.” Put explicit porn in front of these people and they pretend to see Winnie the Pooh

Seven books on the list also have an “LGBTQIA+” focus (so any objection is discriminatory!). Some include sexual abuse, rape, incest, profanity, or drug use.

Nothing to see here!

New Mass. law to recognize "gender X" in addition to M & F on state IDs

More “gender” insanity in Massachusetts. C.J. Doyle, Exec. Director of the Catholic Action League of Mass., explains:

Re: Senate Bill 2429, An Act Relative to Gender Identity on Massachusetts Identification.
This proposed law, if enacted, would have four effects.
A third gender designation -- X, in addition to M and F -- would be allowed on all public documents issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles which identify Massachusetts residents. These documents would include driver's licenses, learner's permits, state identification cards and liquor purchase identification cards.
On their application to the Registry for such a document, a person would be permitted to choose their gender designation, regardless of their biological sex. This choice could include gender X.
Secondly, any person over eighteen years of age, or in the case of a minor, their parent or guardian, would be permitted, retroactively, to alter their birth certificate to designate their sex as X, or to some other, yet unspecified, designation.
Thirdly, a person will be permitted, retroactively, to amend their certificate of marriage, altering both their name and their gender designation, which could include gender X, or some other potential gender designation.
Finally, all state agencies which minister to young people -- including the Department of Youth Services, the Department of Families and Children and the Department of Mental Health -- will be required to disseminate to the charges in their care information on changing their sex and gender designations and to establish protocols to assist them in this process.
S.2429 was passed to be engrossed by the Massachusetts Senate on July 27th. The vote was unanimous, 39-0, with all 36 Democrats and all three Republicans voting in the affirmative The measure will now be taken up by the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

[C.J. Doyle comments:]
"This bill will require the Commonwealth to affirm and give legal sanction to the ideologically driven delusion that gender is a subjective social construct, which can be altered arbitrarily and capriciously, rather than what it actually is, which is an objective and immutable biological reality.

"It will make government a party to this delusion. It will confuse and falsify public records, and compel government employees, in some cases, against their consciences, to participate in this falsification.
"It will result in discrimination in public employment against those who hold a traditional understanding of reality, and will make the investigation of offenders more difficult for law enforcement.
"Section 4 of the bill will essentially empower government bureaucrats who administer programs for youth to proselytize the minors in their care for so-called gender transitioning.
It is an insane and malign proposal, and it ought to be rejected."

Note: The Registry of Motor Vehicles, under Republican Governor Charlie Baker, has permitted the use of the Gender X designation since November of 2019. This was a decision of the Registrar, taken in collaboration with the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth and the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition. What S.2429 does is give a policy position the force of law, converting an executive order into a statute.

++++++++++

And so, we return to the ultimate question: What is “gender”? No one can answer (except with a circular definition). And yet it is already embedded in the laws across the US. Now Congress is poised to pass the “Equality Act” which would force the entire country to bow to gender insanity.

Pure evil: Equality Act 2023 (HR15)

It’s back! The LGBTQ “Equality Act” (HR 15): This dangerous proposal was reintroduced in Congress on June 21, 2023. Text here.

We are in big trouble because this evil bill is very likely to pass. The leftist media (ex. The Hill)  portray it as protection for minorities, while it’s actually an attack on the rights of the majority of citizens. It would criminalize anyone who challenges public LGBTQ “rights.”

The terms sexual orientation, gender identity, transgender, queer, nonbinary, gender, and the acronym LGBTQ used in the bill are purposely left undefined. Liberty Counsel explains that “Q” is especially concerning:

“Already, 212 House Democrats have co-sponsored a bill designed to force churches and every person to accept and promote abortion and the radical perversions encompassed by the “Q” paraphilias of LGBT & Q. These would become federally protected if the newly reintroduced “Equality Act” passes…. The "Q" in LGBTQ includes about 550 sexually deviant “paraphilias” — including pedophilia — that will become protected classes under this bill!
“ … LGBTQ Nation wrote, ‘ … the Q in LGBTQ can also signify other sexual orientations and genders not covered by the acronym's preceding letters. If you're gender-neutral, non-binary, agender, genderfluid, pansexual, asexual, solosexual or something else not covered by LGBT, the Q has got you covered! ’…This extensive legislation will elevate privileges for LGBTQ conduct above religious freedom in every cultural arena in America — including churches and religious colleges…. This bill will revoke the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act’s protections and push both the LGBTQ and abortion agendas into our homes, our schools, and yes, even our churches….” [Source: LC.org email alerts]

The powerful sexual-radical advocacy organization Human Rights Campaign (HRC) states:

“The nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) found that nationally, support for a bill like the Equality Act topped 70 percent, which includes a majority of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. The bill has been endorsed by more than 650 organizations, including civil rights, education, health care, and faith-based organizations. In addition, there is strong business support for non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people. The legislation has been endorsed by the Business Coalition for the Equality Act, a group of more than 530 major companies with operations in all 50 states … More than 60 business associations including the National Association of Manufacturers, National Restaurant Association, and U.S. Chamber of Commerce have [endorsed] the Equality Act.”

Here's HRC’s list of over 540 major US corporations that support the Equality Act (no date). Page 1 below:

Retired Graduate of Boston Children's Hospital School of Nursing Appalled at Harms Inflicted by "Gender" Clinic

 Dear [Reader],

I write you with respect for your beliefs and body of work.

I am a 1964 graduate RN of the (now closed) Boston Children’s Hospital School of Nursing. I used to be so proud to say that.

I am appalled and alarmed about the Gender-Affirming Care program and its potential for harm to CHILDREN. I have written to the Director of Nursing with no response about my concerns.

FIRST, DO NO HARM. Where did that go?  The ultimate best care of children. Where did that go?

Here are the reasons CHILDREN are not ready to make these life altering decisions:

1. Development of the brain’s frontal lobes, key components of the neural activity circuitry underlying ”executive functions” such as reasoning, motor function, problem solving, judgement, social and sexual behavior, working memory, capacity to plan and impulse control are among the last areas of the brain to mature.  Our frontal lobes may not be fully developed until our 30s.

2. Puberty [must be protected], when a CHILD grows into sexual maturity and experiences endocrine and psychological changes.

3. Reaction to stressors – for a CHILD in a healthy environment this is done with the loving help of Mom, Dad, trusted caregiver.  Later on in life the adult has the ability to handle these pressures by herself or himself judging when additional help or information is needed.

A CHILD needs a CHILDHOOD.  That child needs to be allowed to grow up into full adulthood.  As noted in the few points of science above, maturity should be allowed so that each person can make his or her informed decisions in all phases of life.

Please bring this to light.

God bless the CHILDREN.

Respectfully,
Nifty Chagaris
79-year-old mother and grandmother in Tucson, AZ

MANY major corporations are funders of LGBTQ+ madness; not just Target or Kohl's

MANY major corporations – not just Target and Kohl’s – are funders of the LGBTQ+ assault on children, including promotion of “trans” identification and support for medical institutions offering "gender-affirming" treatments.

Below are links showing corporate funders of the most influential sexual-radical advocacy groups.  Pro-family conservatives have long tried to warn the sane members of the public about this looming threat to society. Was anyone listening?

So – How to defeat this behemoth? Corporate shareholders need to re-engage to cleanse these companies of “woke” policies. Revisit (i.e. overturn) anti-discrimination laws and court rulings protecting (thereby promoting) LGBTQ+ identification: Overturn Obergefell (SCOTUS 2015) and Bostock (SCOTUS 2020). States should nullify the illegitimate federal gay marriage legislation (“Respect for Marriage Act” 2022).

Gender Spectrum: Telling Adolescents They Are "Gender Dysphoric" If They Worry about Normal Body Changes

Is an adolescent’s normal anxiety related to his or her physical changes during puberty evidence of “gender dysphoria” requiring medical intervention? Apparently so, according to the widely cited advocacy organization Gender Spectrum. Here are questions G.S. recommends that a healthcare professional ask the young “patient” open-ended questions in order to “establish trust” -- and pull the teen into further counseling and procedures:

Establishing Trust with Youth Seeking Gender Affirmative Medical Care https://www.genderspectrum.org/articles/medical-establishing-trust [no date]

... Use open-ended questions to establish rapport.

Getting Started
Begin by asking about your patient’s interests and strengths
*What do you like at school?
*What do you like to do during your free time?
*What is something that you feel like you’re really good at?

Transition to more personal questions about gender identity
*Tell me about your gender history
*When did you start thinking about this?
*Has [sic] your feelings about your gender changed over time?
*How does your gender feel in terms of your body, or in terms of changes to your body?

Gauging Gender Dysphoria
Seek to identify the patient’s current sense of living in their own body
*Are you having any sad feelings about your gender? Can you describe them?
*Are you feeling anxious? In what ways?
*Are there experiences at home or at school related to gender that are making you feel unsupported or depressed?

Are there specific parts of your body that are causing these feeling?: [sic]
  *Breast development?
  *Menstrual cycle?
  *Erections?
  *Hair growth?

Establishing Goals
Clarify the patient’s goals related to their gender expression
  *
In the best-case scenario, how could I support you?
What are you looking for?
  *Social transition?
  *Non-pharmacological changes?
  *Medications?
  *Body changes?

Mass. Law Protects Boston Children's Hospital "Gender" Clinic Doctors from Prosecution for Medical Malpractice

How do the gender clinic experts at Boston Children's Hospital (BCH) get away with inflicting harm? Their staff is protected by a 2022 Mass. law which criminalizes anyone from out of state who’d dare to bring a lawsuit for medical malpractice. That would be considered “abusive litigation” because (in Mass.) there is a “constitutional right” to “gender-affirming healthcare.” If a detransitioner (like Chloe Cole) harmed by BCH MDs tried to get justice in Mass., she would be the offender and civil action could be taken against her. This law is crying out for a challenge!

In-state transition regretters who were harmed could not sue the BCH staff because that would be anti-transgender discrimination! The BCH gender surgery webpage notes that their practices are protected by the 2016 Mass. law banning discrimination on the basis of gender identity in public accommodations.

All this permitted abuse is based on the gender myth. “Gender” is never defined in the law – except circularly, i.e., “gender is gender.” MGL Ch 4, Sec 7, 59th. Nor does BCH ever clearly define or describe what condition they’re treating in children – except to note little boys sometimes play with dolls or say “I want to be a mommy.” (See my May 2023 report on BCH gender clinic.)

Warning to other states: Block any attempt to pass a transgender rights law. This is where it would lead.

Too bad MassResistance’s 2008 warning about what our state’s pending trans rights bill would bring was roundly ignored.
